Eight is Great
Monday, February 14, 2011
Joseph turned eight in January and with that birthday came exciting changes and opportunities for him. He joined Cub Scouts, which he loves; took first place at the Pinewood Derby, which Ryan loved; and was baptized, which we all loved. He's a great kid and we're so proud of his choice to be baptized.

Grandpa Larry and Joe
Grandpa Larry confirmed Joseph. Grandpa Howard confirmed me when I was baptized and we wanted to carry on that tradition.

Joseph and Brynley
Joseph and Brynely are good friends so it was fun that they were able to be baptized on the same day. Her mom and I may have planned their first date while we took this picture.

Thanks to all of our friends and family who came and supported Joseph in this very important life step.

finally! come on, you know you felt a little bit guilty that mallory blogged about Joe's baptism before you did...anyway, thanks for all the pics...don't worry i got teary eyed. i wish we could have been there!
Mallory's post may have motivated me to write this post.
We had a wonderful weekend of which the highlight was Joseph's baptism. Grandparents love these events more than anything else except maybe a cruise.
sometimes i hope that my posts will motivate you.
